Dead Dolls Society at The Curious Hideaway, Weston-super-Mare

Dead Dolls Society

Dead Dolls Society is an independent creative business by Sara Redding, giving unwanted dolls, found objects and unusual materials a new lease of life.

Created three years ago, Dead Dolls Society began with a mission to save dolls from landfill. Since then, hundreds of dolls have been rescued, reworked and transformed into quirky, characterful creations. Each piece has its own odd charm, turning something forgotten into something playful, strange and full of personality.

Sara has been crafting for most of her life and has always followed her own creative path. Around 20 years ago, she ran her own shop called Gifted on Orchard Street in Weston, before stepping away to focus on family. Now her children are teenagers, she is back creating full time, bringing years of experience, humour and individuality into everything she makes.

Alongside her reworked dolls, Sara also creates jewellery, gifts, preserved dandelion seed pieces and framed metal detecting finds. With a love of art, craft and anything outside the norm, Dead Dolls Society is perfect for customers who enjoy handmade work with a weird, witty and wonderfully unusual edge.
